BARBADÁS
THE SPACE OF THE CITY
HOW MUCH IS A METRE AND A HALF?
The aim of ‘A Vila da Mañá’ is to change the model of town or city, we believe that another one can be possible. This is achieved through the protagonist participation of local children and adolescents who, by working with fundamental concepts through tactical urban planning actions, become active citizens capable of transforming their spaces.

Or experiment duns nenos de Ourense with giant floats to check social distance
As the streets of the town of Ourense, Barbadás fill up these days of children clad in enormous floats. But they do not go to the pool, but they intend to show or are little prepared that they are ready to maintain a social distance.
Responsible for this initiative is Sandra González, architect and creator of the “A Vila do Mañá” project. She criticizes that the real estate crisis did not fix us to reformulate or design the cities and now she hopes that the health crisis will serve to change certain things.
Colour your city
The town or city in which we are working has become a playground, a laboratory for experimentation in which children and adolescents can act from a new point of view.
