The Santiago Delegation of the College of Architects of Galicia hosted today the presentation of the book “A vila do mañana, Rianxo” by architects Sandra González Álvarez and Emma López Bahut, the first publication of the “La ciudad del mañana” project. The book was published jointly by PØSTarquitectos and the Association for the Defense of Galician Cultural Heritage (Apatrigal). The event was presented by the president of the Association for the Defense of Galician Cultural Heritage, Carlos Henrique Fernández Coto, the mayor of Rianxo, Adolfo Muíños Sánchez, and the architects who authored the book, Sandra González Álvarez and Emma López Bahut
Praza 25/05/2017 “CHow would it be a town that was really designed by its inhabitants, in a truly participatory process and that met the real needs of the majority? What would a city look like built to inhabit, to walk, to be and to live and not just to go and come from home to work and school, and from the gym to the mall? What would a city designed for boys and girls look like? There are many movements that have been calling for more humane urban spaces that focus on pedestrians and not motor vehicles. In some cases, boys and girls are given a leading role in this reflection; firstly because they will be the ones who will inhabit these cities and towns in the future, and secondly because they are the ones who occupy and make the most of these spaces in the present: places to play or travel on foot.”

Lo Que Yo Te Digo 15/12/2016 “The Rianxo City Council, with the collaboration of the University of A Coruña and the Post Arquitectos studio, scheduled from 26 to 29 this month an Urban Planning and Heritage workshop for children and youth “A vila do mañá”. It will be free of charge and its meeting point is located in the municipal auditorium. It will take place in two groups, one for children from 4 to 9 years old from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and in a closed area, and for adolescents from 10 to 18 years old between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., with gymkhanas through the center of the town of Barbanzas .”
