The act of hoisting this recognition was chaired by the director of the Instituto de Estudos do Territorio, Enrique de Salvador, and the mayor of Curtis, Javier Caínzos (PP). The regional official highlighted some of the initiatives that the Curtis Council has launched, such as A Vila do mañá, an educational project to raise awareness among young people about the importance of the landscape, urban planning and heritage.
