“A Vila do Mañá” arrives in Malpica

El Correo Gallego  27/12/2019                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  “There will be workshops aimed to children from Malpica’s A Escoliña Vella, that will host workshops of the program “A vila do mañá”, an initiative promoted by A Coruña Council that aims to raise awareness, through game and childhood, of architecture, tangible heritage, urbanism and landscape. They will take place on December 30, and January 2, 3 and 4, for kids from 3 to 12 years. Registrations can be made at the Department of Culture. Before visiting the City Council of Malpica, chaired by Walter Pardo, the program has already passed through municipalities such as Rianxo, Ames, A Pobra, Cambados and Arteixo, and has the support of the Higher Technical School of Architecture of A Coruña, the College of Architects of Galicia and Association for the Defense of Heritage

“A Vila do Mañá” is an educational and outreach project that promote, through game, children and teenagers’ awareness of all common scales: tangible and intangible heritage, architecture, urbanism and landscape.
We are becoming aware of the new vision of Compostela that children bring us, the inhabitants of tomorrow, providing them with tools to develop their creativity from Art and Architecture.
Aimed to kids from 4 to 12 years.

La Voz de Galicia   27/12/2019                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            After passing through towns such as Rianxo, Arteixo or Ames, the educational program A vila do mañá, promoted by A Coruña Council, will land in Malpica on December 30 and January 2, 3 and 4. This initiative aims to raise, through game, children’s awareness of architecture, tangible heritage, urbanism and landscape.

Children from 3 to 12 years old will be able to participate, who will have to register previously in the Department of Culture or in the offices of the City council.

Thus, it was one of the 26 experiences selected to be exhibited in an event that revolves around the use of different cultural expressions when building public spaces and defining their uses by people living in cities.

Guirao will participate in the presentation Culture in the public space where he will have a conversation with the cultural journalist Antonio Lucas. The conferences, which are held in collaboration with the Madrid City Council and the Germán Sánchez Ruipérez Foundation, will be held on October 23 and 24 at “Casa del Lector e Intermediae” in Matadero Madrid.
